John Branco's 1978 4-Door Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Salon

Circumstances beyond my control have forced me to part with this great automobile.

The car is a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham with the Salon Decor package which was only offered in 1978. The car is Silver with Red leather. The Silver paint has a "Crystal Coat" which is Chrysler's first year for a clear coat on paint. The car has an "Elk grain" vinyl roof in silver with frenched backlite in mint condition. The car has 50,000 miles and is all original. The Salon belonged to a Doctor in Warren, Pa. After he died, the car sat in his garage for 8 years before his Son-in-Law posted it on Ebay. I purchased it there in 2001 and it has been stored ever since. The car has no rust and was rustproofed in 1978 by Ziebart. The car has a 440V8 with 3 speed Torqueflite auto trans, power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, vent windows, power driver;s seat, tilt and telescope leather wrapped steering wheel, auto park brake release which is non-functional, Autotemp II AC, electronic tuned radio, floor mats, original spare in trunk never removed, rear wheel opening skirts.

Since the car is all original, it will need hoses, belts, tires and gaskets. The car does smoke because of the head gasket leaking. The car has sat in the garage since I have owned it so it will be rough running. The car has yet to be inspected, licensed or registed. This car is considered the last remaining Salon with the Silver/Red combination colors. There are about 6-7 Salons in existence today.

Please let me know if you need more information. Pictures to follow this e-mail. Best offer please. The car is being sold AS IS and buyer is reponsible for transportation arrangements.
