This boat, and trailer, were purchased new by my Grandfather in 1961 from the Kildonan Canoe Company in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Something happened to the original engine so about four years later, in 1965, Grandfather bought a 40 hp Evinrude "Lark IV" for the boat. The engine still runs and the boat is sound. My Father installed some newer style fishing boat seats about ten years ago but there have been few other alterations to the craft since.

I also own my Grandfather's 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom 4 door sedan. Grandfather also bought this car "new" as a dealer demonstrator model
